The "Discovery Center" in Murfreesboro, TN was donated a large Lionel layout from a local citizen. 
The layout was cut apart to remove it from his home.

 coordinated with the Discovery Center to reassemble and rewire the layout
 to make it a permanent exhibit. The layout displays a Murfreesboro scene around the railroad.

This Project  started on January 5, 2006, as of February  5, the Display was up and trains were running.
A Grand Opening of the Display was on the 10th of February.

Here are two pictures from that Grand Opening.    Look at the delight in the faces of the children. 
That is worth all the work.
